Bilton Silver (Rugby) Band will be playing at Pershore Midsummer Brass, a festival in the Worcestershire market town of Pershore this Saturday (1st July). This popular annual event has attracted brass bands and visitors from throughout the Midlands and this year’s line-up will see many exceptional bands playing in a non-competitive festival of music.
Tickets for this year’s event will be just £7.50, a huge saving on previous years – and visitors will enjoy a full 12 hours of music. The event starts at 10am with a fanfare from Pershore Abbey Tower, and ends at 10pm. Throughout the day bands play around the town in different venues, in the grandeur of Pershore Abbey and the fresh air of the Marquee at the Angel Inn as well as in the informal Chapman Court and the intimate setting of Pershore Baptist Church.
Along with popular local brass bands from Worcestershire, there will also be many renowned bands from further away playing at Pershore. These include The Staffordshire Band, Tongwynlais Temperance Band, Gloucestershire Police Band, City of Coventry Brass and Jaguar Land Rover Band along with our very own Bilton Silver (Rugby) Band.
Visitors are welcome to come all day or pop in for just a few hours, to enjoy as much music as they like. Tickets are available on the day either from the ticket office in the High Street, at the entrance to Pershore Abbey or at the Angel Inn garden.
Bilton Silver will be playing in the Abbey from 13.55 to 14.30 and in the Baptist Church from 15.25 to 16.00.
