On Sunday morning the band were assembled on Main Street at 10:30am to lead the Bilton Remembrance parade to St Mark’s Church. The band led the march to some classic military marches down the main road and into Church Walk.
A poignant service was hosted by St Mark’s and the band accompanied the congregation with the hymns and a beautiful resonating arrangement of Canterbury Chorale. The Last Post and Reveille was played flawlessly by band colleagues plus mother and daughter duet, Di and Jodie Fisher.
Following the service, Bilton Silver played at the War Memorial in the churchyard for the laying of wreaths and crosses before leading the parade back along the same route.
An impressive turn out for the parade, church congregation and street crowd and a great weekend of banding for Bilton Silver (Rugby) Band.
