Midland Area Brass Band Regional Contest 2013
Bilton Silver is getting prepared to compete in this year’s Midland Area Brass Band Championship competition. The contest, which takes place on Sunday 10th March 2013 at Bedworth Civic Hall, will test the bands of the Midland Area 2nd section with “The Plantagenets” by Edward Gregson. This challenging piece was last a test piece in this competition in 1973, for the Championship Section.
There are high expectations surrounding Bilton Silver’s performance in the wake of their previous two results; 1st place at the 2012 Area and 2nd at the following National Finals. With David Stowell at the helm once more, the band are eager to continue their streak of good results and replicate the quality of performance which shone through last year.

Bilton Silver were placed 1st today. We are overwhelmed with the result and look forward to the National Finals later this year. Thanks to everyone for their support and kind words. Recording and judges comments to follow
