Hop, Skip and Jump (14th June 2013)
Bilton Silver Training Band at its best!
On Friday 14th June Bilton Silver Training Band, unusually, took an evening off rehearsals but with very good reason – their Sponsored Hop, Skip and Jump.
This is an event which has been talked about since last year and eager to raise funds towards Bilton Silver’s trip to The National Brass Band Finals in Cheltenham, the crowds gathered on the Crescent School field for an evening of challenges, teamwork and most importantly, fun!
Wonderfully led by their very own home grown Bilton Silver Band members, Jodie Fisher and Alex Gillott, the initial idea of raising funds for Bilton Silver, once again turned out to be the most amazing team building exercise that they could have ever invented.
Bilton Silver teenagers, who may not normally expect to be sent around a track skipping with a rope or jumping in a sack, not only took part with great gusto but were also quick to help and encourage the many younger members. There were smiles all around, many friends made and once again, the evening proved that Bilton Silver Training Band really does have the most fantastic young people!
