Stuart has been a member of the Bilton Silver Band since 1969. In 1978, Stuart took a 3 year break when he joined GUS.
I enjoyed some contesting success with GUS, the highlight being 2nd place at the British Open (Belle Vue) in 1980 playing Energy! I played Cornet with Bilton for many years, followed by Horn and now equally happy playing Baritone.
Stuart has held many management positions within the band, being Chairman for over 20 years.
