Stuart has been a member of the Bilton Silver Band since 1969. In 1978, Stuart took a 3 year break when he joined GUS.
I enjoyed some contesting success with GUS, the highlight being 2nd place at the British Open (Belle Vue) in 1980 playing Energy! I played Cornet with Bilton for many years and now equally happy playing Horn.
Stuart has held many management positions within the band, being Chairman for over 20 years.
